810 Showcase

Game 15: 14 October vs. Dodge City at STA (2-1)

9-4-2, now

Well, it wasn't a perfect week but it was pretty darn good. We finished the week tonight knocking off the defending 6A state champs, #6 in country, undefeated Dodge City.  And guess what they are very good.

They are so good on the ball, having the ability to touch, touch, touch, touch and then have a shot.  Just great on the ball. We applaud our boys for staying in shape, creating redundancy on defense.  Just a great job.

BWhite named Spencer Mogren (what a great game by our keeper) and Jack I-got-all-the-goals Mason as the co BWhite Players of the Match.

I want to give a huge shoutout to Gabe Kraft. He came in to become a 5th midfielder in the second half, and Dodge couldn't build anything.  They scored only when we fouled them at the top of the box. DuanJuan had one fine deadball.

Maybe it won't be true, but it sure feels as if we defeated the large class champ in both Kansas and Missouri in the same week.  Our boys had quite a week.

We will finish this off on Tuesday at Lee's Summit North. Let's finish this right!

But Dodge City finally broke loose on an unassisted Joshua DonJuan goal 15 feet in front of the net with 11:15 left to pull to 2-1.
Two more DonJaun attempts and a shot by Josue Castillo each went over the net.
